L’Amazone –

I wanted to draw a parallel between today’s society and the Amazon, it is the river with the highest flow in the world and a hydrographic network of more than 1000 rivers that stretch over an enormous surface of the continent of South America.
Thus these circuits, these flows symbolize a world population that lives at one thousand an hour. Access to information is so fast and simple with the internet that everything is connected and must go quickly.
I also wanted to tell the life of the populations close to the Amazon through this canvas, because it is a work of patience, just like these tribes who live at the same pace as nature, isolated from the rest of the world. They are in harmony with their environment and perpetuate their traditions. There are therefore several reading speeds that intersect and depict the world in which we live, water being the common thread.

J’ai souhaité créer un parallèle entre la société actuelle et l’Amazone, c’est le fleuve ayant le plus haut débit du monde et un réseau hydrographique de plus de 1000 cours d’eau qui s’étendent sur une énorme surface du continent d’Amérique du Sud.
Ainsi ces circuits, ces flux symbolisent une population mondiale qui vit à mille à l’heure. L’accès aux informations est si rapide et simple avec internet que tout est connecté et dois aller vite.
J’ai aussi voulu raconter la vie des populations proches de l’Amazone à travers cette toile, car c’est un travail de patience, tout comme ces tribus qui vivent au même rythme que la nature, isolés du reste du monde. Ils sont en harmonie avec leur environnement et font perdurer leurs traditions. Il y a donc plusieurs vitesses de lecture qui s’entrecroisent et dépeignent le monde dans lequel nous vivons, l’eau étant le fil conducteur.
