High hopes

L’artiste a créé plusieurs tableaux sur cette toile avant d’arriver à cette œuvre ; un fond gris avec de fines connexions qui formaient comme une toile d’araignée, reflétant le confinement et le virus du COVID19.
Voulant reprendre le visuel de sa toile énigmatique Les secrets du temps, elle se mit à créer le fond en écoutant en boucle la chanson High hopes de Pink Floyd qui la touche beaucoup.
C’est l’hommage à son père qui refait surface mais aussi l’espoir d’un monde meilleur après la pandémie. Nous savons tous que nos modes de vie ont un réel impact sur l’environnement et il semble y avoir eu un réveil collectif.
La pochette d’album The division bell lui a également servi d’inspiration avec ses statues de l‘ile de Pâques dont les secrets sont bien gardés (cf Les secrets du temps) et faisant écho aux civilisations et cultes ancestraux.

The album cover The division bell also served as inspiration with its statues of Easter Island whose secrets are well kept (see The secrets of time) and echoing ancestral civilizations and cults.
