Cette peinture s’inspire de la chaîne de l’Himalaya, la plus haute montagne du monde qui passe par cinq pays, l’Inde, le Népal, le Bhoutan, le Pakistan et la Chine (Tibet). Elle unie ces pays d’Asie par ses reliefs impressionnants.
Au sommet de cette peinture on peut voir un clin d’œil au palais du Potala, lieu sacré où se sont succédés les Dalaï-lamas qui étaient jugés être des réincarnations du bodhisattva de la compassion.
Cette peinture symbolise donc cet éveil spirituel ainsi que la mémoire de cette région qui elle aussi est en changement dû notamment à la pollution et au climat. On peut y voir un panda roux, le jharal, l’ours noir ou encore le lophophore resplendissant du Népal.

This painting is inspired by the Himalayas, the highest mountain in the world which passes through five countries, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and China (Tibet). It unites these Asian countries with its impressive reliefs.
At the top of this painting we can see a nod to the Potala Palace, a sacred place where the Dalai Lamas succeeded one another, who were considered to be reincarnations of the bodhisattva of compassion.
This painting therefore symbolizes this spiritual awakening as well as the memory of this region which is also changing due in particular to pollution and the climate. You can see a red panda, the jharal, the black bear or even the resplendent lophophore of Nepal.
